I noticed being a caretaker for my mother as she battled cancer I experienced hospitals and facilities treat my mother as a number and not a person. I was shocked to see staff with little to no compassion for an individual in distress. I wanted to be A beacon of hope for those who didn’t have a voice and make a difference. Before my mother Succumbed to her diagnosis she agreed that something needed to be done. “E.R.” being her initials and the mission to be a beacon of light.
